Is a most charming little house, spacious, light, extremely comfortable, and it is also perfectly placed for exploring the lovely Angus glens and further afield to Braemar or the coast of Angus and Aberdeenshire.

It has lovely open views across the surrounding countryside to the hills beyond.  The owner's house is the only other dwelling nearby but it is completely invisible from the cottage, so privacy and seclusion are assured.

The first thing that impresses you as you enter the cottage is its spaciousness. The large, south facing sitting room has windows on three sides, including French doors which open to an attractive and enclosed grass garden (furniture), perfect for relaxing on lazy summer evenings.  This is adjacent to an excellent and very well-equipped dining kitchen, the size of which would not disgrace an average farmhouse.  The delightful double bedroom has a super king size bed.

The nearest of the glens to the cottage is probably Glen Isla, which offers wonderful walking opportunities.  But all the Angus Glens should be visited while you are in the area.  Each has its own distinctive character and charm, yet all are peaceful and unspoiled.   The superb beach at Lunan Bay is 35 miles away, and nearby Kirriemuir (6m) and Alyth both have all facilities and  good golf courses.    The championship course at Carnoustie is also quite easily accessible from the cottage.   Fishing is  available locally  - Lintrathen Reservoir is just up the road, as is the RSPB reserve at Kinnordy.

For a bit of urban bustle, Dundee (24m) may be the answer.  Captain Scott's vessel Discovery may be visited in the harbour, and from there, too, the Tay Bridge will take you across to Fife and historic St Andrews.  The late Queen Mother's family home of Glamis Castle is just 7 miles down the road and is well worth a visit.

Perth (25m) is an attractive town with interesting shops and a full range of leisure facilities.  Pitlochry, with its famous Festival Theatre in the Hills is 34 miles distant.

Oil central heating, electricity and bed linen are INCLUDED and towels may be hired.  Two well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement.  Sorry, no smoking in the cottage.

A beautiful location and excellent accommodation. The garden was a delight with plenty of birds and even a red squirrel who was cheeky enough to come right up to the patio doors! Would definitely recommend both the accommodation and location.

We found this area to be very interesting and varied. Only "scratched the surface". Thank you for making us so welcome in your beautiful property - it is a credit to you.

Cockerham party, North Yorkshire 19/05/2012

Summer here at last! We have had a glorious week in this perfect setting. The views from this wonderfully spacious cottage bring nature to your doorstep. The wildlife is simply breathtaking.

Rome party, Gloucestershire 02/06/2012

We have had many holidays in Scotland and this was a lovely base for exploring the Angus Glens and warrants a further visit as there is so much to do. The cottage is really lovely and we liked the spacious rooms. Managed some evenings in the garden to watch the local wildlife - woodpeckers very entertaining. The one rainy day we did have we enjoyed looking at all your interesting books.

Houghton party, London 21/07/2012

We have had a lovely two weeks. Your cottage is really lovely, very clean and has everything you need. The weather has been great. Visited Lunan Bay - what a beautiful spot.

Worsley party, Middlesex 18/08/2012

We have stayed in many cottages which all lack one essential ingredient - a view. This cottage has views that are amazing!

Macdonald party, Ayrshire 19/09/2012

A holiday with all the peace and tranquillity any person could ever want or need. The views are unbelievably beautiful. The stunning scenery and walks in the area are breathtaking. We couldn't have spent my birthday in a more beautiful place.

Smith party, Shetland 13/10/2012

We have stayed in many cottages but this is the best to date, very spacious and well equipped. Lovely views, garden with all the birds was so relaxing and with it being enclosed was perfect for our cocker spaniel. Many thanks for the warm welcome and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Berry party, East Sussex 03/11/2012

We have had a lovely relaxing holiday which has been made perfect staying in your cosy cottage. All the amenities you could wish for and in a beautiful location.

Hargreaves party, Edinburgh 22/12/2012

This cosy welcoming cottage is in such a lovely peaceful setting with open views across the valley, seeing rabbits and pheasants and ponies grazing in the fields. Lovely to be back in the area with the hills dusted with snow. A big thank you to you both for your welcoming log fire and cooked meal during the power cut on Christmas Eve! What an amazingly comfy bed, very well equipped kitchen and a veritable library of books. This is a real home from home - planning another visit in the late spring or early summer.

Rendall party, Dumfries 01/04/2013

We have enjoyed a fabulous short break here. The cottage is so attractive and comfortable. So nice to see woodpeckers on the bird feeders.

Peirce party, Oldham 08/03/2013

One of the best cottages we've stayed in - where di you get that bed - it was bliss! Had a lovely week with only one morning of rain. Excellent food at Peel Farm. Would love to stay longer. Thanks for the lovely welcome and bird food for the woodpeckers.

Bragg party, Clwyd 29/06/2013

Thank you for a very peaceful and comfortable week. We have truly had a wonderful visit to Scotland and experienced the kindness and generosity of the local people. The cottage is very well appointed, in the country but close to coast and towns. Dined at Drovers Inn and Strathmore Arms, Glamis with the help of the local taxi. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage. We hope to return next year.

Hafakker party, Netherlands 20/07/2013

We had a perfect week. Good weather, nice cottage with flowers and welcome gifts on arrival. We will tell our friends who love Scotland so much about this lovely cottage.

Hurren party, Suffolk 27/07/2013

Even although the weather was not perfect, we have had a wonderful time. There was so much to do and see in the area. The cottage was so homely and peaceful and without a doubt the best cottage we have stayed in. Thank you so very much.

Oving party, Netherlands 03/08/2013

Really great cottage and place to stay. Surrounded by birds, rabbits, deer and total silence! A perfect base to explore the region. The welcome flowers have been smelling for two weeks - the biscuits did not last long! We were out most of the time because there is lots to do and see but we enjoyed every minute in the cottage. Thank you both for making us feel at home.
