Is a most charming little house, spacious, light, extremely comfortable, and it is also perfectly placed for exploring the lovely Angus glens and further afield to Braemar or the coast of Angus and Aberdeenshire.
It has lovely open views across the surrounding countryside to the hills beyond. The south facing sitting room has French doors which open to an attractive grass garden (furniture), perfect for relaxing on lazy summer evenings.
The nearest of the glens to the cottage is probably Glen Isla, which offers wonderful walking opportunities. The superb beach at Lunan Bay is 35 miles away, and nearby Kirriemuir (6m) has all facilities and a good golf course. The championship course at Carnoustie is also quite easily accessible from the cottage. Fishing is available locally - Lintrathen Reservoir is just up the road, as is an RSPB reserve.
For a bit of urban bustle, Dundee (24m) may be the answer. Captain Scott's vessel Discovery may be visited in the harbour, and from there, too, the Tay Bridge will take you across to Fife and historic St Andrews. The late Queen Mother's family home of Glamis Castle is just 7 miles down the road and is well worth a visit.
Perth (25m) is an attractive town with interesting shops and a full range of leisure facilities. Pitlochry, with its famous Festival Theatre in the Hills is 34 miles distant.
Central heating, electricity and bed linen are INCLUDED and towels may be hired. Two dogs are welcome by arrangement. Sorry, no smoking in the cottage.
