This elegant second floor apartment will be found in an equally elegant road in the Victorian spa village of Bridge of Allan, near Stirling in central Scotland. You could hardly be better situated for taking in many of Scotland's major attractions, while excellent transport connections in the form of railways, buses and roads make them easily accessible.
The apartment has private off-road parking and is set in mature gardens. There is a secure entry system. It faces south and west, so is light and sunny and has lovely views towards Stirling Castle and the Campsie Fells. There is a large living room and a fully fitted kitchen with all appliances. The double bedroom has and en suite shower, there are two single bedrooms and a further bathroom. The accommodation is thus both versatile and very well appointed. Wireless internet connection is available.
Bridge of Allan itself has many attractions. Its main street has many interesting and excellent small shops and eating places, and is within a short walk of the apartment. It is also a most convenient base for those attending the OU courses which are frequently held at Stirling University, and the village is also within walking distance of the campus. There are train connections to both Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as north to Perth so you can visit Scotland's two major cities without any parking worries. Prestigious Gleneagles, too, is only a short drive or train journey away.
Local attractions include historic Stirling itself with its castle and Wallace Monument, and there is good walking in the Campsie Fells. Bridge of Allan has a golf course. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs can easily be reached in less than an hour, or the M9 will take you swiftly north to Perth and the Highlands beyond. The Blair Drummond Safari Park is close by for a good family day out while Doune Castle is another interesting destination. To the east is Fife with its picturesque fishing villages, a multitude of golf courses and, of course St Andrews. In Bridge of Allan you really are very much at the centre of things.
