This semi-detached cottage, just about a mile from the village of Thornhill (pub, shop, PO) in Stirlingshire dates back to the early 19th century, and has been sympathetically converted from a former blacksmith's smiddy into a cottage of high standard .
Situated at the foot of the owner's large attractive garden (which it shares) it offers comfortable, well-equipped, double-glazed, centrally-heated accommodation for any time of the year, and it makes an excellent base in central Scotland for exploring most of the Stirling (8 miles), Callander (7 miles), the Lake of Menteith and Aberfoyle (9miles) countryside - taking in all the lovely Trossachs and central Scotland area, with excellent road connections to Glencoe, Fort William, Loch Lomond and Oban further afield - so this is a most suitable location for those wishing to visit many of the well-known beauty spots of Scotland - as well as Glasgow and Edinburgh which are both about an hours drive away.
Heating is by gas CH (INCLUDED) and electricity. Bed linen and towels are INCLUDED. Smoking is not allowed inside the cottage. One small dog is welcome by arrangement. .
