Seahorse Cottage stands just yards from the harbour in the quaint and picturesque village of Gardenstown on the sunny Moray coast of north east Scotland and provides spacious and comfortable accommodation which is just right for two couples or a family of four.

Visitors will find that it offers particularly attractive accommodation, with a snug sitting room with multi-fuel stove, a smart and modern kitchen, new shower room and two very good size bedrooms.

Perhaps due to the absence of traffic, (you can drive down to the harbour) Gardenstown has a lovely atmosphere - if you like roving around on foot, you will find quite a few steps, however for the town is built on a series of terraces, linked by charming walkways.  There is a restaurant and a pub, but for shopping, Macduff and Banff are about 8 miles away.

As far as exploring further afield is concerned, you can range along the coast.  To the east, there is the little villages of Crovie, to which you can walk under the cliffs from Gardenstown, and Pennan, where you can still see the phonebox made famous in the film 'Local Hero'.  There are some excellent golf courses along the coast, while inland you can head for the Speyside Way, or go on a Whisky pilgrimage, visiting the many distilleries along the Whisky Trail.

For a dash of culture, Banff is home to Duff House, an outpost of the Scottish National Gallery.  The National Trust properties of Haddo House, Leith Hall and Fyvie Castle are also within an easy drive.

Bed linen, towels, heating and 20 of electricity are all INCLUDED.  Up to two well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement.  Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.  Wi-fi INCLUDED, subject to provider.

Very cosy cottage. Pretty decor and beautiful scenery. Added bonus for us was lovely weather. Walk to Crovie is a must do. Hope to be back again one day.
