Just to be clear - we're talking Dallas Moray, not Dallas Texas!  The two could hardly be more different. Dallas Moray is a charming little village on a quiet back road at the apex of a triangle between Forres (7m)  and  Elgin (10m) in the sunny northeast of Scotland, set amid heathery hills, woods and moorland.

This is the setting for Harmony Cottage, a traditional, semi-detached cottage with a large garden to the rear, and open views across the surrounding countryside.  It has now been beautifully refurbished as a comfortable holiday cottage and with three large bedrooms (one en suite), spacious living accommodation, open fire and all modern comforts it is an excellent base for a family holiday.  There is  parking at the door, and secure storage for cycles and fishing gear.

It is also well situated for the Moray coast, with its lovely sandy beaches, quaint fishing villages, dolphin and whale watching facilities and golf courses.  Inland, you are not far from the Speyside Way and all these lovely distilleries! ( Enthusiasts will find that whisky festivals are held in the last weekend in April and the last full week in September).  For spiritual sustenance of another kind, historic Pluscarden Abbey is just a few miles up the road.

Further afield, you can be in Inverness in under an hour.  This exciting city offers all sorts of attractions, theatres, cinemas, sporting facilities, shopping, restaurants, an endless list.  On the way you will pass the historic battlefield of Culloden, with its new visitor centre.  Cawdor Castle and Fort George are also well worth a visit - at Fort George, you are on the narrows opposite Chanonry Point, arguably the best place to see dolphins in all Europe.

And beyond Inverness, you can explore lovely Glen Affric and Glen Cannich, the Black Isle, or north to Sutherland and Caithness.  From Inverness you can even be on Skye in two hours, so you will be thoroughly spoiled for things to do and see.

Bed linen, towels, oil-fired central heating and electricity are all INCLUDED in the rental.  Sorry, no pets, and smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
