North Berwick, on the coast of East Lothian, just 25 miles along the coast from Edinburgh, has long been a popular holiday destination, with its fine beaches and excellent sailing facilities.  Perhaps most important, however, is the fact that there are more first class golf courses in the immediate vicinity than you could possibly play in the period of the average holiday!  Muirfield, Gullane, Dirleton, Luffness, Archerfield, Dunbar.. the list goes on and on.

Very well placed to take advantage of all these facilities - just a five minute walk across the golf course to the sea - is Nether Abbey, one of six new and beautifully appointed apartments which offers ideal accommodation either for a party of golfers or for a family.

On the first floor, with its own ground floor entrance it has a sitting room with small balcony, well fitted kitchen diner, double bedroom with en suite shower, twin  bedded room and further bathroom.  All you need in fact, and so convenient for all you'd want to do.  There is ample off-street parking right alongside.

It is within easy walking distance of the town centre, where there is an excellent selection of shops and restaurants, many offering superb seafood menus.  If you don't even fancy going that far, however, there is a hotel/bistro within a few yards of the house, which serves excellent food.

If you fancy a day away from the golf course and the beach, you could climb Berwick Law, the volcanic plug which dominates the town.  In that direction, too, there is a motor museum and Air Museum, where you can board Scotland's Concorde.  North Berwick's other claim to fame is the National Seabird Centre at the harbour, where you can find out absolutely everything you ever wanted to know about seabirds and a bit more besides, and, on their giant screens, see the nesting birds on the nearby Bass Rock which is home to one of the country's largest seabird colonies.  Take a boat trip out to the Rock itself - a truly amazing experience.

Then, of course, there is the proximity of Edinburgh.  The bus passes the apartment every 20 minutes or so, or, if you prefer to go by train, the station is only a five minute walk from the house.

Bed linen, towels, gas central heating and electricity are all INCLUDED.  Sorry, no pets and smoking is not permitted within the apartment.  A refundable householders deposit may be required for larger parties.
