Cramond Island is reached at low tide (via a tidal causeway) where the river meets the Firth of Forth by the harbour.  A small passenger ferry crosses to the Rosebury Estate where a path leads to the Forth Rail and Road bridges at South Queensferry

The local pub is just 3 minutes walk away.  There is another on the pretty harbourside (sailing club, bistro and coffee shop), three excellent golf courses within a mile, and a swimming pool just a little further away.
