Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Ideal base to relax after exploring the miles of mountain bike runs. High recommend trying 'Spooky Wood' at nearby Glentress!!

Very enjoyable stay in the cottage. Absolutely everything provided and more, as in binoculars and bird book to observe and identify them in the apple tree. Best presented cottage I have stayed in and I hope to return in the future. Thanks for everything.

Despite the mixed weather (wood burner has been used twice!) we've had a lovely relaxing break. We would recommend Edinburgh's Old Town. Traquair House just up the road was beautiful, interesting and their ales are well worth a sample. Peebles is definitely somewhere we'd come back to in the future, the craft centre has lots of treasures if you like one-offs and something a little bit different. The cottage was just perfect. Thank you for the strawberries and cream.

Thanks to our hosts - we had a great time. We loved our stay here - it was just the relaxing break we were after. Pumpkin Cottage is a really warm and welcoming place. We saw 27 different types of birds in just a couple of days, including first time for nuthatch, crossbill and coal tit. The woodpecker is a star! Lots of lovely walks nearby with woodstove better that the telly!

We have had a beauitful honeymoon. This place is a taste of heaven. Everything about it is lovely. We enjoyed a few evening walks down the road by the river and saw an owl. St Mary's Loch has great views, the drive there is fantastic. Edinburgh is always great to see. Glentress Valley Trail is great for biking and walking, even in the rain. Thank you for the strawberries and champagne, greatly enjoyed. We go home refreshed and chilled. You are truly blessed. Many thanks.

A lovely week of walking, mountain biking (Glentress) and fly fishing (fishwild.co.uk) in probably the rainiest week of the year. It didn't dampen our spirits - the fire helped. A lovely cottage, a lovely holiday.
