It centres on the magnificent glen which runs up from Tyndrum towards Rannoch Moor and Glencoe, between Ben Dorain and Beinn Chaorach.
In addition to the Lodge and Kinglass Cottage, we are now pleased to offer Coralan Cottage, a three bedroom property which has been completely refurbished to the same high standard as the other houses.
In Coralan guests will find an excellent blend of convenience, practicality and comfort. Even with a full house there is no sense of being cramped. In the pleasant, snug sitting room the comfortable seating is arranged round the large wood-burning stove which fairly pumps out the heat on a chilly evening.
The expansive dining kitchen has tiled flooring throughout and plenty of space for dining in comfort. The kitchen area is well-equipped and having the additional utility room means that there is plenty of room in terms of cupboards and work surfaces. There is also a downstairs WC that is a further practical touch.
Upstairs there are three very good sized bedrooms, a double and two twins. The double has en suite facilities and both of the bright twin rooms are so configured that the slightly coombed ceilings will not present any problems, even for taller guests. These two rooms share the modern family bathroom, which has a bath with shower over.
Outside there is parking at the door, furniture outside and tenants have the use of the grassy garden across the yard.
Walkers will be interested to learn that the West Highland Way crosses the Estate and, though out of sight, it passes within a few hundred yards of its cottages.
There is salmon fishing on the Orchy (from February to October) and trout fishing at other times, as well as shooting and stalking that can be arranged in season. Walkers, climbers and sportsmen will therefore find it a slice of paradise, while less energetic guests will be no less thrilled by the abundant wildlife and the peace and freedom of such fabulous surroundings.
The cottage is reached by about half a mile of private road for the main A82 from Tyndrum to Fort William, so it is well placed for touring. Glencoe is just over 16 miles to the north west, while both Fort William and Oban are 40 miles away and from Oban you can take boat trips to Iona, Staffa, Mull and some of the other islands. From Fort William you can take the Road to the Isles, or why not take the train all the way from Tyndrum to Fort William and then the steam train to Mallaig which will enable you to actually compare the wonderful viaducts at first hand!
In the other direction, it is only 17 miles to the top of Loch Lomond, with its famous golf courses, boating and sailing possibilities. The Trossachs, Loch Katrine and even Glasgow are all within easy reach. The nearest shops, hotels and petrol station are at Tyndrum, with a hotel at Bridge of Orchy also.

Bed linen and towels are INCLUDED. Electricity is INCLUDED. Heating is by electric panel heaters and wood-burning stove. Water is from a private source which is UV filtered and regularly tested; however (as is typical in many parts of Scotland) it can become discoloured, particularly after heavy rainfall. Guests may therefore prefer to bring bottled water to drink. A maximum of 3 dogs are welcome at an additional charge (2 large, 2 medium or 3 small).
