It has stunning views across the beautiful Loch Awe from its elevated hillside position within the grounds of Sonachan House.
Inside there is a bright and spacious open-plan living area that has been finished to a high standard. The high quality, comfortable seating is centred round the TV with French doors that lead out on to a second living area, a covered terrace that has elegant patio furniture and lovely views of the loch. The well-equipped fitted kitchen area has everything you need to hand and the dining area is conveniently placed right next to it.
All on one level there are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, both of which are most comfortable with a full complement of storage space. A stylish family bathroom with bath and shower over completes the indoor accommodation.
Outside, below the covered terrace is the decking area, that has further seating and a BBQ. Loch Awe View is a house which simply begs you to come and relax.
Loch Awe provides a variety of walks as well as being popular for trout and salmon fishing (boats and permits available locally).
The abundant local wildlife includes deer, pine martens, otters and red squirrels as well as regular viewings of golden eagles, ospreys and sea eagles nearby. For the more energetic, there are many other activities available in the area including golf, horse riding and cycling.
A tranquil retreat for relaxing, the Portsonachan Hotel is within walking distance and offers modern Scottish cuisine prepared from locally produced ingredients.
An excellent base for exploring the Argyll and West Highlands, there are many forests, mountains and lochs to be enjoyed as well as the popular tourist destinations of Inveraray and Fort William with their gardens, castles and distilleries. You can also visit Oban from where you can take a ferry to explore Mull, Islay and many more islands.
