Well known to serious mountaineers and hill walkers the world over, Torridon is a wild, rugged and spectacularly beautiful area to the west of Kinlochewe. With few roads or settlements it really is a place to get away from it all in truly amazing surroundings.
The owner was very kind when the beast from the east was blowing across Britain, he offered for us to stay on until it was safe for us to travel home, many thanks again. The cottage is always clean, warm and inviting. We love the views from the cottage. There is plenty of wildlife to be entertained by if you can take your eyes from that view.
Loved our stay. The cottage was clean and very comfortable and provided everything we needed. The bed was super comfy too. Close to High Street for shops. Cunninghams store very good as well and people very friendly. It would have suited us better if there had been a TV in one of the bedrooms and there was a nice bottle of wine and some shortbread for us. We stay in a lot of cottages, and this cottage provided us with a few sachets of tea and coffee which was very mean. We had to buy tea and coffee which we have never had to do and whilst there was only the two of us in a 4 person let, more tea and coffee should have been provided, especially given the price of this property..
Unique staff were pleasant and helpful. I did have to chase them to see if the cottage owners had accepted the booking but to be fair it was the Christmas period and they had been shut. Something that does put me off using Unique is the pet is charged for - many now go free plus they seem just slightly more expensive than other agencies. This would be okay if the cottages were all 5 star standard but ours wasn't.
