One of six holiday cottages on this Argyll estate which covers 1200 acres of superb countryside along 3 miles of the north shore of West Loch Tarbert, south of Lochgilphead in Argyll. Much of this area has been chosen by The Nature Conservancy Council as a place of special interest because of the abundant wildlife and the sub-tropical plants that flourish there and it makes a wonderfully rural retreat for those who enjoy a quiet location.
The Estate offers six good standard holiday cottages sleeping from 2 - 8 people, which are well-furnished and equipped - each with its own stone fireplace - which are imaginatively converted from handsome old farm buildings and spaced around a courtyard, while, adjacent to the cottages, are 2 more semi-detached houses which each sleep 8. It is therefore an excellent venue for family and friends gatherings.
All the cottages have access to a large garden with swings and slide; and wonderful walks right from the cottages - just 5-minutes takes you to the shores of West Loch Tarbert. Also, in the area, there are many historical and archaeological sites; there is riding + tuition; ferries run regularly to the nearby islands of Gigha, Arran and Islay (famous for its whisky distilleries), and the small fishing village of Tarbert (7 miles) offers excellent eating facilities as well as a good supply of shops and a golf-course.
Heating is by electricity (INCLUDED) and open-fires. Bed-linen and towels can be hired. Pets welcome.
