Craiganiver has a wonderful location on the edge of the village of Strachur on the eastern shore of Loch Fyne about 18 miles north of Dunoon (all facilities, excellent access to Glasgow by frequent ferries) and 20 miles south of Inveraray (shops, restaurants, golf and The Duke of Argyll's Inveraray Castle). It is a solid stone, extremely spacious and well appointed, double glazed Victorian house which has stunning south-westerly views right across Loch Fyne to the hills of The Mull of Kintyre and the distant Western Isles from its picture windows and from the very large conservatory which almost doubles the size of the existing sitting-room.

Whatever the weather, tenants will enjoy the ever-changing patterns of light and colour on the water and distant hills from this panoramic and exclusive viewpoint. It has a large enclosed front garden (Barbecue, garden furniture) and a back garden that faces the owner's fields, with hills beyond; and is within walking distance of the well known Creggans Inn (restaurant, once belonging to Sir Fitzroy Maclean and Lady Maclean of 'Cook Book' fame) as well as a village shop/PO/petrol station and cafe.

There is excellent walking in every direction, easy opportunities for touring to such well-known places as Oban, Mull and lona, Glencoe, Fort William, Loch Awe and Loch Lomond etc. and the owners (who live 3 miles up Loch Fyneside on a 4,000-acre Sporting Estate) can, in Season, offer shooting, stalking, and a choice of river, loch or sea fishing.  Garden enthusiasts can visit the National Trust gardens at Crarae, 10 miles south of Inveraray, or the Botanical Gardens at Benmore on the way to Dunoon.  Just opposite Benmore is the magical Puck's Glen, an easy walk which should not be missed.

Heating is by oil CH (INCLUDED), and open-fire.  Bed-linen is INCLUDED and towels may be hired. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead within the Estate. No smoking is permitted within the house.
