Strathrowan Cottage is a delightful pied-a-terre forming the lower part of Rowan House, an imposing traditional Victorian villa, which stands in a commanding position on the hill overlooking Oban Bay, on Scotland's spectacular west coast.
Just a short walk from the centre of this bustling little tourist centre, yet in a quiet location and completely self-contained, Strathrowan Cottage has been refurbished to a high standard, and is ideal for two people wishing to explore the glorious area round about. It has its own small gravel garden area and there is designated parking space right at the door.
Oban is the starting place for ferries to many of the most delightful islands just off the coast - Mull and Iona, Colonsay, Coll and Tiree, or closer by, Lismore and Kerrera. There are also many boat trips to watch the basking seals and other wildlife in the surrounding waters. The town has long been a honey-pot for tourists, and has good shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, while the countryside around about is truly breathtaking. Must-sees for visitors which are within easy reach are Glencoe, Ben Nevis, Arisaig and Morar and the Ardnamurchan peninsula.
Heating is by electric under-floor heating (£15 INCLUDED). Bed linen and towels are INCLUDED. One well-behaved pet is welcome by arrangement. Sorry, smoking is not permitted within the apartment.
