Situated just across the road from the loch side, about 8 miles south of the picturesque village of Inveraray on the western shore of Loch Fyne, The Cabin on Loch Fyne is a most attractive detached holiday home.

It is also a bit of a Tardis, with its compact outward appearance belying the spacious and very well furnished and equipped interior.   The owner, who lives close by, has made every effort to ensure that guests will find all they require for a comfortable holiday.  The living space is open plan, with a well fitted kitchen diner and cosy sitting area.  Two bedrooms and a shower room complete the accommodation.  It has its own pretty and secluded garden (furniture, barbecue) which in summer is full of colour, and a short walk through the trees takes you to a seat where you can enjoy panoramic views of the loch.

A holiday in this lovely area offers much of the very best that Scotland has to offer.  Mountains and hills in which to walk, a most attractive coastline, with opportunities for fishing and sailing, and touring in all directions.

To the south, you can visit the Crinan Canal, where boats cross from the loch to the Atlantic, or head down the Mull of Kintyre to Campbeltown (66m), Carradale and Machrihanish (fine beaches, golf course.)  There is the chance also to do a bit of island hopping; from Claonaig, in summer you can cross to Arran, from Kennacraig you can take ship for Islay, and from Tayinloan you can head for Gigha.

Active guests can play golf at Inveraray and there is riding locally as well.  Inveraray offers shops and restaurants, and its Castle and Jail museum should not be missed.  Those with horticultural interests will enjoy the National Trust Gardens just down the road at Crarae.  At the head of the loch there are the Ardkinglas Woodland Gardens and also the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, always a good bet for lunch or simply picking up supplies of the country's best seafood.  The village of Furnace, just over a mile from the Cabin, has an Inn serving excellent meals and a shop with PO and banking facilities.

There is parking at the door (four steps down).   Heating is by electricity (first £15 INCLUDED).  Bed linen and towels are INCLUDED.  One small pet is welcome by arrangement.  No smoking within the cottage.
