Glencoe was the first of Scotland's commercial ski resorts, when it opened with a ski-lift way back in 1956. It is set among the magnificent, brooding scenery of Glencoe with its towering mountains, in the Meall a' Bhuiridh Massif. Skiing is mostly in a large basin, which holds its snow quite brilliantly.
Of late, it has established something of a reputation among bolder skiers and snowboarders, due to its famous 'Fly Paper' run, which claims to be the steepest and most exciting black-graded run in Britain. However there is something for everyone at Glencoe, with seven lifts and 19 runs, including four which are green and six which are blue-graded.
Its caters for all levels of skiers and snowboarders, with ski hire, ski schools, and equipment hire.
