Sun, Sea and Superb Accommodation at Sannachan Cottage

We have recently added a lovely new addition to our portfolio, Sannachan Cottage, a traditional fisherman’s cottage that has been very stylishly refurbished and modernised. The cottage occupies an idyllic spot right on the palm-tree lined harbour in the picturesque village of Plockton, with stunning views out over Loch Carron.

The cottage has an inviting sitting room with a modern wood-burning stove set into the wall and there is an additional seating area in the dining room. The smart, modern kitchen is very well-equipped with built-in appliances and a handy wine cooling fridge.

There are three bedrooms in total. Downstairs is a twin bedroom with an en suite shower room and upstairs is another twin room and the master double bedroom that has a king-size bed. The upstairs bedrooms share a ‘Jack and Jill’ style wetroom and also have free-standing bath tubs within the rooms, perfect for admiring the wonderful seascape outside.

Outside there is a little grassed garden right on the harbour that has a picture perfectmagnificent outlook over the loch.

The village of Plockton is known as the ‘Jewel of the Highlands’ and it is easy to see why. The pretty harbour is ideal for strolling along whilst watching the boats and yachts in the loch and the village shop is only a couple of minutes’ walk away (with restaurant attached). There is also a pub and a locally renowned fish and chip shop right by the harbour.

Various watersports are available on the loch, as well as boat hire and sailing lessons. There are also boat trips out to see seals, seabirds, otters and even dolphins.

There are lots of nice walks from Plockton and the route to Dubhaird beach is particularly scenic. Dornie, only 11 miles away, is home to the iconic Eilean Donan castle, one of the most widely recognised and frequently photographed Scottish castles that is open to the public to explore.

A week’s stay at Sannachan Cottage starts from just £595, rising to £1,195 in peak season.
