***Introductory Comments***

Welcome to this issue of Uniquely Unspoilt.

This issue's main article looks at Michael Scott, a Scottish "wizard" who was believed by many to be a real-life Harry Potter - and whose life story is shrouded in mystery.

The subject of the guest article is Doors Open Days, which take place every year and give free access to a wide selection of public buildings every weekend in September.

Please feel free to send in any comments as ever.

***Closing Comments***

Fans of Scottish food and drink are spoilt for choice next month, with the Loch Lomond Food & Drink Festival taking place between 8 - 9 September at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch.

It aims to showcase the very best of Scottish food and drink, with a range of Scottish food companies as well as the Experience Whisky tent and the Loch Lomond Real Ale Festival.

The Taste of Mull & Iona Food Festival is scheduled for September 6 - 11, including guided walks, wildlife-watching trips, farm and garden tours, ceilidhs and barbeques. Also, during Festival week, island restaurants, cafes and tearooms will feature special dishes using locally grown foods.

Till next issue,
