*** Main Feature ***
~~Buying Scottish art~~
Souvenir buying is a great way to remind you of your holiday, but choosing something that you?ll actually want to look at when you get home is another story.
Buying art is ideal - you can buy a painting or print of somewhere you visited, you can spend as much or as little as you like, and you can take home something original. Many galleries even take commissions if you really want something completely unique...Full Article>>>
***Guest Article***
Andrew Fairbairn of The Woodland Trust Scotland has kindly written this month?s guest article, explaining the attractions and history of their best Scottish woods.
The Woodland Trust is the UK?s leading woodland conservation charity, with over 250,000 members and supporters. Its aims are to promote awareness and enjoyment of woodland, prevent further loss of ancient woodland, restore and improve the biodiversity of woods, and increase the area of new native woodland. Established in 1972, it now owns 78 sites in Scotland covering 7,450 hectares.
A Christmas Card Recycling Scheme is being run by the Trust to help the environment. Last year 40 million cards were collected, the equivalent of saving 13,600 trees.
