Sandpiper occupies the ground and first floors of a traditional, stone built, former fisherman's cottage less than a minute's walk from the beach and harbour in the village of Cellardyke in the picturesque East Neuk of Fife.

With its proximity to the seafront, traditional charm and secluded situation, Sandpiper is the ideal place for an East Neuk seaside holiday. The kids have the sands on the doorstep and the adults have a pub serving meals at the end of the alley! What could be better?
Sandpiper has been modernised and refurbished to the highest standards with the accommodation on two levels. Downstairs an entrance lobby opens on to the well-equipped dining kitchen which is very striking and attractive with its dramatic tiling and modern units. It also has a family size dining table with plenty of room for everyone to sit comfortably. The downstairs bathroom is stylishly tiled, modern and practical.
Upstairs is a bright and cosy sitting room with an electric stove and with a range of games, DVDs and CDS. There are two bedrooms, one double and one with bunk beds. The double bedroom is a haven of restfulness while the bunk room will, of course, be more suitable for children, although the beds are full size. Gas fired central heating ensures guests' comfort all year round, whatever the weather.
Outside, Sandpiper stands in a peaceful courtyard setting, where there is an attractive whitewashed patio area. It is the perfect spot for sitting out with your evening drink or morning coffee.
There is no lack of things to do here for guests of all ages. Walkers in particular will enjoy the coastal path, which offers miles of stunning scenery.
East Neuk Outdoors in Cellardyke offers canoeing, kayaking, abseiling, mountain biking and other activities. Then, of course, there are the famous and excellent Fife golf courses, from prestigious St Andrews (9 miles) down to the excellent local courses where the moderate charges and quiet fairways are a source of wonder to those coming from the crowded south.
If you can drag the kids away from the beach, there is also much of interest inland. Bribe them with a visit to the Scottish Deer Park or Scotland's Secret Bunker, a unique legacy of the Cold War! Kellie Castle, Hill of Tarvit and Falkland Palace are all within easy reach and are well worth visiting. You can even take a boat trip from nearby Anstruther out into the Firth of Forth and visit the seabird colonies on the Isle of May.
Cellardyke has pubs and restaurants, the nearest of which, that serves excellent meals, is just a minute's walk away. The livelier village of Anstruther is within walking distance and has a range of cafés and pubs, as well as the best fish and chip shop in the UK. That's at least one meal taken care of!
