Beautifully renovated throughout, the property’s refined decor perfectly compliments the character and ambience of this extraordinary building. It is the ideal place for a romantic getaway or trip away with family or friends.
The large kitchen provides plenty of space for dining and the chic sitting room is the perfect place to relax after exploring the numerous delights of the surrounding area.
As the elegant bathroom has both a large spa bath and separate shower, guests are sure to feel thoroughly indulged. The two attractive bedrooms are laid out upstairs with a double bedroom and a twin room that both have their original oak beamed ceilings.
To the side of the property a secluded, sunken garden area with seating allows for alfresco dining and BBQs (4 stone steps down so care to be taken). Off street parking is provided and a stonebuilt bothy can provide handy secure storage for bikes and other sporting equipment if required.
In the centre of Collessie is a church that stands on a site which is believed to have been a place of worship as far back as the Bronze Age. Further local historic ties are illustrated by ‘The Collessie Man’ prehistoric stone (0.5 miles) that has carvings dating from Pictish times.
In Cupar (6 miles) there are supermarkets, numerous pubs, a good selection of coffee shops and eateries as well as a variety of more individual family-owned businesses.
Animal lovers will enjoy a visit to Fife Zoo (1 mile) to see the amazing range of African and South American animals they care for, with everything from zebras and meercats to lemurs and monkeys.
The Scottish Deer Centre (3 miles) is home to over 140 deer of varying species including reindeer and there are Scottish wildcats that are unfortunately now an endangered species. The regular bird of prey demonstrations are fascinating and there is also the chance to see the otters and brown bears being fed.
Tentsmuir beach and forest (20 miles) provides ample opportunities for scenic walks and bike rides and the cottage’s central location means that many of Scotland’s interesting cities are easily accessible. It is only half an hour’s drive to Perth or Dundee, an hour to bustling Edinburgh and an hour and a half to Glasgow.

Stunning cottage in a good location. The neighbours were so welcoming and the surrounding areas were just beautiful.
A straightforward easy to use website made booking a doddle. Will use again when looking to holiday in Scotland!
