This is a truly stunning, newly built, detached house which has an equally stunning situation above Loch Tay in Highland Perthshire with glorious views across the water.

As soon as you drive up, you are aware that you are in for something special here, coming down the drive off the road along the loch, to a large gravelled parking area from where a bridged walkway takes you into the house on the first floor (such is the rake of the hill on which it stands). On this level you will find an immense, open-plan living area with a rotating wood-burning stove and one wall entirely of glass, which opens on to a balcony.
There is also a smaller, separate sitting room or snug, a utility room and shower room. It goes without saying that furniture and equipment is of the highest quality.
Downstairs, by open tread stairs, are luxurious bedrooms, all en suite and with French doors to the external decking area overlooking the loch. There is also a power room/boot room and WC.
The house is surrounded by its own fenced garden. Its only neighbour is Tigh na Eglaise, but the houses have been so configured that neither overlooks the other. And the final piece of good news is that it is within easy walking distance of an excellent country inn!
This is a fantastic area for walking (Ben Lawers is just along the road), sailing, and fishing. At either end of the loch too are two of Scotland's most charming villages.
To the east is Kenmore (shops, hotel and golf course) where the replica Iron Age crannog in the loch should not be missed, while to the west is Killin, also with a golf course, a greater range of shops and eating places and the tourist attraction of the Falls of Dochart, which bisect the village.
From there you can head west to Glencoe and Fort William or the west coast at Oban, or to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs - all easily accessible for a day trip.
From Aberfeldy, 7 miles beyond Kenmore, you can go north to the beautiful Lochs Tummel and Rannoch or visit Pitlochry with its Theatre in the Hills. At Loch Tay View you are very much in the centre of Scotland and wonderfully placed for exploring some of the best that the country has to offer in terms of scenery and attractions.
