Little Keills is a large five-bedroomed detached house sitting in its own enclosed garden within ten acres of land.

Its stunning location and elevated position at the southern end of the Keills Peninsula on the west coast of Argyll offers spectacular views across the MacCormaig Isles to the islands of Jura and Islay and southwards over Loch na Cille towards Gigha and Northern Ireland. With its own private jetty and boathouse, it really is the perfect spot for a relaxed family gathering!
Accessed via a long sweeping driveway, this spacious property is a family home par excellence, with room to spare for two families wishing to holiday together. The bright and airy sitting room has an open fire and colourful L-shaped seating, as well as wonderful sea views from its patio doors that lead out to the terrace. At the other end of the house the spacious, modern TV room (also with patio doors to the garden), will be the perfect place for the kids to hang out if their elders want some peace and quiet.
There is a choice of where to dine as well, with a table in the large farmhouse kitchen (with yet more doors to the garden) for informal breakfasts and the like. For more formal occasions there is the sunken dining area with its high ceiling from which stairs lead up to the first floor.
There is an additional utility/laundry room and, a real boon for guests of more limited ability, two ground floor bedrooms, a double and a twin, with an adjacent bathroom.
Up the main staircase and off the galleried landing are a twin bedroom (with en suite bathroom), a further double bedroom and a bathroom. Accessed from the rear staircase is another double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. All of the bedrooms are large and most comfortably furnished. The upper bedrooms look out over the front of the house, which makes them not only bright and sunny, but also means that they share the amazing sea views.
Argyll is renowned for its mild climate and natural beauty, with plenty of scope for sailing, kayaking and other water sports along its scenic coastline.
Whilst Little Keills may be nestled in the quiet countryside, the village of Tayvallich with its pretty harbour is close by (5 miles) and provides all of the usual day-to-day needs with a general store, cafe, PO, church and inn. The larger town of Lochgilphead (15 miles) offers a full range of local services and a supermarket.
There is much to enjoy in the immediate area, including Little Keills' own private little beach in which to play and paddle about in the water, as well as a number of beautiful forestry walks plus historic Keills Chapel which dates back to the 11th century.
Tayvallich has an all-weather tennis court, while Lochgilphead (15 miles) offers a mountain biking trail and cycle hire, angling club (day permits available) and a challenging 9-hole golf course. Further afield are the stunning Kilmory Sands, the championship course of Machrihanish or 'sea safari' boat trips from Crinan Harbour.

Bed linen and towels are INCLUDED. Electricity is INCLUDED. Heating is by oil central heating (INCLUDED) and open fire. Water is from a private source which is UV filtered and regularly tested; however (as is typical in many parts of Scotland) it can become discoloured, particularly after heavy rainfall. Guests may therefore prefer to bring bottled water to drink. A maximum of 4 dogs are welcome at an additional charge (4 large, 4 medium or 4 small).
