Oronsay is a high quality log cabin built from solid whole Scandinavian pines and occupying a breathtaking position looking down Loch Sunart.

It sits about 20 miles south west of Fort William, via the Corran Ferry (no booking necessary), on Scotland's beautiful west coast.
Double glazed, refurbished and furnished by its new owners to a very comfortable standard, it offers delightful and informal accommodation for up to five people.
The interior is furnished in a pleasingly rustic style, the electric fire in the open plan living room serving as a focal point when darkness falls. In daylight hours it is the view from the windows and the constant activity round the bird feeder that will steal the show!
The galley kitchen is modern, well fitted and equipped and the bedrooms, though compact, have everything you will require.
Outside, the cabin sits in its own patch of sloping grass garden (with furniture) from which you can enjoy the stunning views out over the loch.
The area is one of Scotland's loveliest. It is great walking country and there is wildlife in abundance - the Ariundle Nature Reserve, just 2 miles away, offers activities, courses and a restaurant.
The little village of Strontian (after which the element strontium, which was first discovered there is named), has a shop, hotels and a snack bar and is within walking distance of Oronsay.
A 20 mile drive down to Lochaline will take you to the little car ferry which plies back and forward to Mull (again no booking necessary), so a day trip there is easily feasible with a minimum of planning.
In the other direction you can drive out through glorious scenery to Ardnamurchan (31 miles), the most westerly point of mainland Britain, where there is a lighthouse to visit and a sandy beach at Sanna (there are others closer at Kentra above Salen). For serious shopping, sports centres and a golf course, the nearest option is Fort William.
