Overview

With these stunning views combining with stylish, contemporary accommodation, this house is set to become one of the most popular properties on our portfolio. The house is laid out all on one level with an incredibly spacious main living area that has a lovely bright, open plan layout and leads out onto a large, wooden deck that wraps around the house.

The huge dining table has been positioned to take the best advantage of the expansive and ever-changing view out towards the water. Cosy seating can be snuggled up on by the wood-burning stove and a telescope is set up at the window for wildlife spotting. The chic kitchen area is very well-equipped and an additional snug/TV room allows space to spread out into and differing viewing tastes to be catered for too!

In the beautifully presented and quite vast master bedroom the loch views continue and there is a super king-size bed and luxurious en suite bathroom with a slipper bath and a walk-in shower. There are two further double bedrooms (one en suite) and a single bedroom that makes use of a family bathroom with both a bath and separate shower. Doubling as a boot room is the entrance hall with lots of handy storage and the utility room neatly houses the laundry facilities and drying racks, etc.

A parking area for two cars is provided by the front door and, due to its raised position, there are some drops outside the house so children should be supervised whilst outdoors. The house is set up a private track that is steep in parts but can easily be driven slowly and carefully. In icy conditions there is parking at the bottom of the slope that can be used if preferred.

Map & Local

Skylarks, redstarts and merlins can be spotted in the skies over the Glenborrodale Nature Reserve just 30 yards away and a lucky few may even see golden eagles soaring above. Red deer, dragonflies and butterflies are also frequently found at the reserve.

For whisky enthusiasts, the Ardnamurchan Distillery (1.5 miles) is literally just 5 minutes’ drive along the road from the house. Tours can be taken to learn all about the distillation process and no tour would be complete without a tasting of a few drams at the end.

The peaceful, remote Ardnamurchan peninsula is known as one of the most unspoilt places in Scotland. At the end of the peninsula is Ardnamurchan Point, the most westerly point in Scotland where the famous Stevenson lighthouse still guides ships to safety. Panoramic views towards the isles of Barra and Rum can be enjoyed from the base of the lighthouse and it can be climbed for an even more impressive sea vista.

Salen (8 miles) is the place to head to for grocery shopping and the Salen Hotel there has a bar and restaurant that serves excellent meals.

Those looking to spend sunny days on the beach will be spoilt for choice with wonderful sandy beaches at and Camus Na Gael (3 miles), Ardtoe (15 miles) and Sanna (16.5 miles).
