Overview

Inside, the main living area is bright and open plan with comfy seating, a dining area and well-equipped kitchen all in together. Huge windows allow for the surrounding woodland to be admired and there is a decked seating area to sit out on at the front.

The bedrooms lie at the back of the house with views out over the surrounding woods. There is a colourful double bedroom and a neat twin room, both of which have handy sinks that supplements the family bathroom.

A ramp leads right up to the front door and the grassed garden is dotted with lovely mature trees and has a lovely open aspect toward the sea loch.

Private parking is provided alongside and there is a communal seating and BBQ area that sits to one side of the house.

Map & Local

Mountain climbers will enjoy exploring Creach Bheinn just behind the lodge or the impressive Ben Nevis (25 miles) is in easy reach for those who fancy a bit more of a challenge. Anyone tackling it should be sure to have suitable clothing and footwear as the weather can change very quickly once on the mountain.

Grocery shopping can be done in Strontian (12 miles) or for more choice Fort William (20 miles) has most shops and supermarkets one could wish for. From Fort William the famous Jacobite steam train, which gained international fame when it was used as part of the Harry Potter films, runs all the way to Mallaig with some absolutely stunning scenery to take in along the way.

Fort William is also home to the Ben Nevis Distillery that sits at the foot of the imposing mountain itself. Knowledgeable guides head up tours explaining the distillation process followed by a tasting session and the chance to buy some whisky to take home.

Lochaber is known as the outdoor capital of the UK with numerous activities to try out including watersports such as sea canoeing, kayaking and white water rafting for those looking for a real adrenalin rush!

The Nevis Range resort (25 miles) has something to offer all year round with snowsports in the winter months and mountain biking over the summer. There are 12 lifts that provide access to the heights of the mountains and a choice of different ski runs that offer something to suit every age and ability.
