Heading north from Oban, you come to Lochaber, a stunning area of mountains, glens and sea inlets which witnessed some of the most dramatic events in Scotland’s history. Some of the blackest deeds took place here in Glencoe, which retains its brooding presence even now when it is a mecca for climbers and skiers.

Thoroughly enjoyed our break in this lovely home. Lots of room for 6 of us plus dog. Comfy beds, great showers and a well equipped kitchen with lots of crockery and cutlery, which is often not the case in a lot of properties! Very quiet location and lovely views from the sun room. Great location too for walks, shops, restaurants and things to do. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back.

Viewmount was perfect for our family holiday. It has masses of space to be together and to get away from each other! Well equipped in the kitchen as well as elsewhere eg log burner with plenty of logs, washing machine and dryer for those rainy/snowy days. Warm and comfy , although the aga was not working due to an unavoidable fault, extra heaters were supplied. The owner was superb with her communication about any issues we needed to be aware of including the weather. She was friendly and professional. Very grateful to her. Also, enjoyed the bird feeder with red squirrels, a variety of tits, crows, pigeons, rabbits, woodpeckers, pheasants and we even saw a goldcrest. We were all adults but I imagine kids would love it
