Overview

Once inside, cosy evenings can be spent making the most of the multi-fuel stove in the sitting room that just begs to be curled up in front of. The dining area has been set up by the window to the front to frame the great views out to the water and double doors alongside lead out to a raised deck where there is further seating to sit and admire the gorgeous vista from.

The range cooker at the heart of the lovely kitchen is a joy to cook on and there are more gorgeous loch views to be taken in from the window above the sink. Seating at the breakfast bar makes a good place to relax with a drink whilst the nominated chef works away and the large utility room houses the laundry facilities and has lots of useful storage.

Laid out all on this level are a light and airy en suite double bedroom, a twin room and a family bathroom with the benefit of both a bath and a separate, walk-in wetroom style shower. Upstairs the spacious landing has two further welcoming double bedrooms off it and seating that is ideal for unwinding in peace with a good book or using the TV to cater for differing viewing tastes.

Heading outside, the gorgeous loch view spread out in front of the house is sure to impress. Off road parking is provided and there is direct access to the rocky shoreline through the gate at the bottom of the lawned garden.

Map & Local

Strome Castle (2.5 miles) has stood in its key defensive position looking out over the waters of Loch Carron since the 1400s and is now mainly ruined. It is still interesting to explore and has a wonderful outlook over the loch against the unique backdrop of the rugged ruin.

Lochcarron (6 miles) has a grocery shop, a couple of different eateries and the Lochcarron Hotel that has a bar with a great range of whiskies to sample and an excellent restaurant overlooking the loch.

The well-known tartan producer Lochcarron’s weaver shop right by the loch shore has over 700 different tartans on offer that are woven in their mill in the Scottish Borders. Those with Scottish ancestry will enjoy finding their own family tartan and there are also high-quality cashmere, mohair and lambswool products to choose from.

Golfers will enjoy a round on the 9 hole golf course in Lochcarron with an additional element of skill involved as it is partly played right along the side of the loch! Walkers have plenty of beautiful countryside to explore and there are several corbetts and munros to try to tackle in easy reach by car.

From the picturesque village of Plockton (25 miles) boat trips run out to see the local seal colony up close. There is wonderful scenery to take in along the way and they are so confident that seals will be seen that they offer refunds to anyone that doesn’t see any! Kyle of Lochalsh (29 miles) is known as the starting point for the bridge over to the wonderful Isle of Skye that is well worth spending a day visiting.
