Drummond Cottage is a truly delightful holiday house in the beautiful Perthshire countryside bordering lovely Loch Tay.  It is  three miles west of the picturesque conservation village of Kenmore (hotels, shop, cafe.)    and 5 miles west of Aberfeldy with its excellent Visitor Information Centre, shops, restaurants, golf and swimming pool.  Drummond Cottage is part of the award-winning Comrie Steading designed within the walls of an original 18th century mill-and-farm steading.  The conversion of the steadings in the 1990s won the top Scottish Heritage Award for the sympathetic restoration of listed buildings.

Drummond Cottage  offers holiday visitors the chance to live for a while in this superb landscape of hills and valleys near Loch Tay and the River Lyon, and enjoy walking or climbing nearby Munros, cycling, golf on a choice of courses,  or fishing on the Rivers Tay and Lyon.  Water sports and boat hire on Loch Tay are available in Kenmore, where there is also a small lochside beach.  While you are there, visit the restored Iron Age crannog in the loch.   Water-rafting, canoeing, mountain biking, clay shooting and archery are all available locally.  Drummond Cottage is central too for visiting Oban and Fort William, Loch Ness and Inverness, Royal Deeside and Pitlochry with its famous Festival Theatre .

This exceptionally attractive and comfortable cottage has an enclosed garden  with furniture.   It has countryside views over gorse-covered hills to the rear, a farm with grazing deer to the fore, and the massive bulk of Schiehallion (the Fairy Mountain) beyond. It is double glazed and efficiently heated by total control electricity with a living flame gas stove in the living room for additional comfort and cosiness.  There is a shop within 3 miles, and a variety of restaurants  within 5 miles.

Electric central-heating is INCLUDED. Bed-linen and towels are INCLUDED. We regret pets are not accepted, and visitors are requested not to smoke within the house.

Comfortable and warm. Ideal for our young family, including easy walks - Birks of Aberfeldy and Killiecrankie close at hand. However, our 3 year old has his mind set on Schiehallion next year! Weather been good enough to eat in the garden - whilst watching the Ospreys! For good source of great coffee (and kids snacks) try Spill the Beans Café in Dunkeld.

A very stylish and comfortable cottage - lovely to come back to at the end of the day. And what a beautiful area, better than we ever expected and a great time of year to see it all (nature at its best!)

Very comfortable cottage in a stunning location. Our one week stay was not long enough but we managed to tour extensively - from Oban to Loch Ness. Looking forward to repeating our stay in the not too distant future. Many thanks
