The south of Scotland is most accessible with a beautiful landscape of rolling hills stretching from the border right up to Perthshire. The area covers both the iconic capital Edinburgh and the cultural hub of Glasgow.
The central area has an excellent infrastructure of railways, motorways and roads making it an ideal base for touring. The landscape ranges from glens and farmland to lovely harbours and beaches.
The highlands is one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland with magnificent mountains and quaint little fishing villages and sandy beaches. It is also a mecca for skiing, with its Aviemore, Glenshee and Lecht resorts.
The west coast has a landscape of mountains, steep cliffs and sandy beaches, with a range of different islands off it, some dotted with Neolithic standing stones, that can be accessed by ferry or plane.
