Feshie, named after nearby River Feshie, is a detached house that sits on a spacious corner plot within a cluster of houses in the popular winter sports haven of Aviemore, within the Cairngorms National Park.

This newly built house has been equipped and presented with great attention to detail and is very stylish throughout. The sitting room at the heart of the house is warm and inviting with doors leading out to the garden and generous L-shaped sofas that just beg to be curled up on with the wood-burning stove crackling away alongside. The whole of the ground floor also benefits from cosy underfloor heating.
The kitchen is chic and well-equipped with a spacious dining area, which has further French doors out to the garden, conveniently positioned at one end. A neat utility room supplements the kitchen and there is a twin bedroom downstairs with a contemporary shower room a couple of doors along.
From the sitting room an open staircase leads up to the two double bedrooms that both have king-size beds and built-in wardrobes providing plenty of storage. The master double room has a modern en suite shower room with walk-in shower and the other makes use of a bathroom with bath and shower over.
Outside, there is parking in the car port right by the front door and a sheltered, grassed garden area that wraps around the back of the house.
Aviemore has acquired a stellar reputation over the years as an all year round holiday resort. As well as being popular with skiers and snowboarders in the winter, it also draws walkers, climbers, sailors and wildlife enthusiasts at other times of the year.
The town has a good range of interesting shops (particularly outdoor clothing/footwear), a supermarket, PO and train station, as well as a couple of takeaway restaurants if you fancy a break from cooking. The Macdonald Spey Valley Golf & Country Club is only 20 minutes’ walk away where visitors can enjoy a round on the 9 hole course and make use of the excellent bar and restaurant. The Cairngorm Brewery in also in easy walking distance so you can be free to sample ‘a wee dram’ and stroll back afterwards.
The Glenmore Visitor Centre (7.5 miles) near Loch Morlich offers ranger-led walks and cycle trails and for a really memorable experience you can visit the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre a bit further along the road and take a trip up into the hills to see the herd. They are the only free ranging reindeer herd in the whole of the UK and you can get right up close and even hand feed them.
If you happen to be visiting in January you may well catch the Aviemore Sled Dog Race that is held annually in the forests around Loch Morlich and now has over 1,000 sled dogs taking part (mainly Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes and Samoyeds).
Other interests which are well catered for here include fishing and mountain biking, perhaps from Aviemore to the RSPB site at Boat of Garten (famous for its ospreys), as well as sailing and pony trekking which is another great way to see this magnificent area. There is plenty of scope for touring in all directions - the bustling city of Inverness, for example, can be reached in less than an hour.
