The house in a position to die for!  24 miles south-west of Inverness and 52 miles from Fort William, Bunloit Farmhouse is an extremely comfortable  house high above Loch Ness on a small privately-owned country Estate of 1200 acres. It stands detached - tastefully refurbished and decorated - in its own fenced area of grassy grounds (garden furniture).  But what really makes Bunloit so special is is its amazing situation.  It has THE most spectacular view right along the whole length of Loch Ness and across it to the mountains on the far side from its garden and south-facing front windows.  There can be few better places from which to watch for the appearance of 'Nessie' in the waters below.  Visitors may well be loathe to leave it even to drive down the few miles to the hotels, museums and small shops of Drumnadrochit (6 miles) or Fort Augustus (22 miles) - let alone drive further afield to explore the famous 'Road to the Isles', the Isle of Skye, Plockton, The Black Isle, etc. etc.

Some other houses can offer the same wealth of possible excursions, but very few can offer a panoramic view such as this - a view which changes with every passing cloud, boat (or monster!) - or the ability to enjoy it quietly away from the madding crowd.

From 2012, Bunloit Farmhouse will also have its own wind turbine, so you can enjoy all the house has to offer in the knowledge that it's 'green-powered' as well.

Heating is by electricity (INCLUDED), open-fire and wood-burning stoves (a basket of logs INCLUDED).  Bed-linen & towels are INCLUDED.  Pets by arrangement.  Smoking is not allowed within the house.  A refundable Householders deposit is required.  Wi-Fi is available, subject to provider.

Our 6th visit to Bunloit and love it as much as the 1st. The addition of Wi-Fi is great. We are taking two very happy and exhausted dogs back. Thanks to owner for great hospitality.

Bunloit Farmhouse epitomises the awe inspiring beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Fantastic scenery, the hills change all the time depending on the weather. An artist's dream. The Farmhouse is wonderful everything we could need.

The weather could have been better but the Farmhouse is just perfect. The ever changing views are are wonderful and the silence unbelievable, only the birds and sheep to be heard. Thank you for two relaxing weeks.

Eslava Family, Surrey 21/10/2011

Our stay was too short, but our memories will last forever. The children thrived on the fine Scottish air and our whole family got a much needed rest from real life. A stunning vista, a cosy house and gracious hosts. Who could ask for more? We will ask for more the next time we come this way.
