There can be few more stunning views in Scotland than the one which greets you as you approach Wester Bunloit. This former croft house sits 600ft above Loch Ness and has a magnificent panorama of nearly the whole loch. Even Ben Nevis, 60 miles away, is visible on a clear day, whilst across the loch there is the majestic wilderness of the Monadhliath Mountains.
And then there is the wonderful peace and quiet which surrounds you here. Wester Bunloit has its own private garden (furniture) and is situated on a 1200 acre estate. Inside, it has been carefully modernised to provide most comfortable accommodation with those spectacular views from nearly every window, from which you can watch in comfort for the 'monster', said to have been encountered first by Columba in the 6th century.
Yet it is not remote - just 4 miles from Drumnadrochit (shops, hotels, restaurants, boat trips, Monster Museum) and 18 miles from Inverness. Urquhart Castle is only 3 miles away and you can be in Fort William in just over an hour. Skye, Plockton or Ullapool, the sandy beaches of the Moray Firth, or the Black Isle and the North Highlands beyond Inverness, all are accessible from Wester Bunloit.
About a 30 minute drive from Inverness and an hour from Fort William, it is well-placed for visiting Wester Ross and Skye, The Road to the Isles and the lovely coast of The Moray Firth.
Heating is by electric central-heating (INCLUDED) and wood-burning stove (a basket of logs INCLUDED). Bed-linen and towels are INCLUDED. Pets by arrangement. Smoking is not allowed within the house. A refundable Householders deposit required.
