The pretty town of Moffat is just 20 minutes up the road; Dumfries is 15 miles; and the historic Border town of busy Carlisle is a half-hour's drive south. The Solway coast, with sandy beaches and the delightfully named attractions of Caerlaverock Castle and Sweetheart Abbey, can be reached within the hour; while the A74(M) from nearby Lockerbie provides rapid access to North and South.

Heating is by electric night-storage heaters (£10 INCLUDED), and solid fuel multi-fuel stove (starter pack INCLUDED). Bed-linen and towels are INCLUDED. Up to two well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement. No smoking within the cottage.
