Idyllically situated with the beach (from which there are unlimited views across the Firth of Forth) to the front and the golf course to the rear, and just a few miles from the centre of Edinburgh by fast train, Driftwood is an attractive and comfortable holiday home and an ideal base for exploring this part of Scotland.

Standing in its own small fenced garden (patio area) it is double glazed and electrically heated and is simply but cosily furnished.  It has an open-plan living area, well-equipped kitchen area, shower room and double bedroom.

From Driftwood, there is an easy walk around the coast into nearby Dunbar (all facilities).  For more energetic walkers, the Southern Upland Way commences 8 miles away at Cockburnspath.  Apart from the Winterfield course behind the house, there are many excellent golf courses in the area, notably Luffness, and, of course, Muirfield itself.  Then you can finish off the day by visiting one of the gourmet restaurants which the area also boasts.

From the pretty resort of North Berwick, in the shadow of Berwick Law (14m) you can take boat trips to visit the seabird colonies on the Bass Rock.  Dramatic Tantallon Castle, and Dirleton Castle with its lovely gardens are both close by, while for longer trips you are not far from the Edinburgh Bypass and its feeder motorways, which will whisk you across the Forth Bridge to the Highlands or off to the west coast with minimum effort and delay.

Heating is by electricity (£10 INCLUDED).  Bed linen and towels are INCLUDED.  Pets are welcome by arrangement.  No smoking within the house.

I'm so glad I stumbled accross your chalet on the internet; Someone has a great eye for decorating, adding the sea nick-nacks - its lovely. We have enjoyed our stay very much. The area very peaceful and we followed the coastal car trail, stopping off at some of the coastal towns. And we had good weather.

As ex residents of East Lothian; we have found a great base in "Driftwood" for our visits back here. Used to collect our grandson from West Barns Primary; parked up and often wondered what the chalet were like, Now we know - .A fabulous and "Oh so comfortable" home. Thank you

We have had a very relaxing time - The sun shone everyday for us, and we fell in love with "Driftwood" What a beautiful chalet, felt at home as soon as we pulled up! After moving house just recently; this holiday was just the tonic we needed! Thank you

Chalet was a good base for us and it was really well decorated with everything provided that you could want. I will certainly recommend it to friends. A great holiday and what a beautiful area. Thanks

Beautiful beach house; feel like we have been away for weeks. The house is so well equipped and we love Belhaven and Dunbar - nature and scenery.

The 3 most important elements of any holiday are location, accommodation and the bed. Absolutely fabulous for all three and the wonerful weather was a bonus. We loved your garden which was fantastic for Molly, as she could sit on the porch step; no need to worry about her wandering off. We'll be back.

We have enjoyed every moment of our holiday. This is our first visit to Scotland, but will not be our last. There is so much to do and see. A visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia is a must. We have not been lucky with the weather, but wev loved the beach just the same.
