On the road heading into Selkirk from the property you pass the well kept greens of Selkirk Golf Course. Its 9 hole course, set amongst the heather and gorse, offers spectacular views over the Linglie Hills and then to the distant hills of Ettrick & Yarrow (as well as a challenging round of golf, of course!) Six miles south of Whitmuir is a well established riding school and this being horse country you could take the opportunity to try out a favourite local pastime.
