Loch View has a wonderful location on the West Coast about 37 miles north of Oban and 10 miles south of Fort William with a stunning view right out across Loch Linnhe to the hills of Appin and Morvern and the distant Island of Mull.

It is a completely self-contained first-floor flat (with its own private entrance) which is comfortably furnished, well-heated and part double glazed.   It is part of the former  'Manse of Glenrigh', once the home of the 'missionary' of the old Church of Cuilcheanna the ruins of which remain within the beautiful Manse gardens, where tenants are welcome to walk and sit.

For those who prefer to get out and about, however, there is much to see and do in the area. Near at hand, Onich has a shop and hotels and just to the north of the village is the Ardgour/Corran Ferry (which runs every half-hour and for which you don't need to book), which takes you across to the beautiful Ardnamurchan peninsula with its abundant wildlife, and the Lochaline ferry to Mull.  A further ten miles or so up the road is Fort William (all facilities) at the foot of Ben Nevis and at the start of the Road to the Isles, which takes you out to breathtaking Arisaig and Morar with its silver sands and the ferry from Mallaig to Skye.  This journey can also be made as a day trip on the 'Jacobite' steam train, which, in the course of its run from Fort William to Mallaig, takes you across the viaduct immortalised in the Harry Potter films.

Just beyond Fort William is Aonach Mor, offering ski-ing in winter and world-class mountain biking in summer, and then you are well on your way to Loch Ness.

To the south is Oban, less than an hour away, and no stay in this glorious region would be complete without a visit to Glencoe, just a couple of miles down the road from the house,  again with endless walking, climbing and ski-ing activities.    For an active  day out, whatever the weather, there is the Ice Factor at Kinlochleven.  At Loch View you could scarcely be better situated for enjoying much of the best that Scotland has to offer in terms of scenery and things to do.

Heating is by night-store heaters and electric-fire (electricity INCLUDED). Bedlinen and towels are INCLUDED. Please no smoking within the house and pets are not accepted.
