Fife

The Kingdom of Fife borders the Firth of Tay in the North, the North Sea in the east and the Firth of Forth in the south.  It is a popular holiday destination having a long coastline of sandy beaches, a flat landscape ideal for walking and cycling, superb golf courses and lots of visitor attractions. The most popular tourist destination is St. Andrews, with its internationally famous Royal and Ancient Golf Club and university (founded in 1410).  The southern coastline of Fife has many picturesque fishing villages (such as Anstruther, Crail and Elie), fine sandy beaches and lots of good golf courses.   There are many varied places of interest to visit throughout Fife, such as castles, abbeys, wildlife centres and the secret bunker built during the Cold War.  Fife provides a wide range of activities and attractions for people of all ages and is particularly suited to family holidays.
