Inverness

Inverness

A city which has completely reinvented itself in the last few decades, Inverness, the vaunted 'capital of the Highlands' has a wonderful buzz and loads to do in terms of cultural and sporting activities, and shops and restaurants.  It has a very scenic situation where the River Ness flows into the Beauly Firth, where as often as not dolphins are to be spotted under the Kessock Bridge.  Excellent road connections mean that the North Coast, the West Coast and Skye, and the Moray coast can all be reached in just a couple of hours.
