Croft 34 lies within the remote crofting village of Mellon Charles, a mere half a mile from it’s beautiful sandy beach and just 2.5 miles from Aultbea.
Access the cottage via a single-track road, through well-spaced croft dwellings. Enter a unified lounge and dining space, adorned with thoughtfully positioned windows that showcase the awe-inspiring scenery.
Sink into the comfort of the cosy seating area, complete with a wood-burning stove and the added warmth of underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs. Prepare meals in the modern, well-equipped kitchen, where even the task of washing dishes offers stunning views.
The accommodation includes a stylish double bedroom and a twin bedroom, providing a restful retreat for guests. Convenience is key with stylish shower rooms located both upstairs and downstairs, along with a utility room housing a washing machine.

A stunning sandy beach is just 5 minutes walk from the house and the nearby dramatic rocky coastline can easily be explored on foot. Loch Ewe has extensive interpretation points about its fascinating World War II heritage, with more information at the Arctic Convoy museum in Aultbea.
The outstanding beauty spot of Mellon Udrigle 6 miles away offers world class sea and mountain views, another sandy beach and pleasant easy walking.
Approximately 9.5 miles away lies Gruinard Bay, renowned for its extensive sandy beach, ideal for leisurely strolls regardless of weather conditions. Seals are often seen frolicking along the shore, accompanied by a diverse array of birdlife.
Situated at a similar distance of 9 miles, Poolewe is a picturesque village famous for housing Inverewe Gardens. Benefiting from the temperate influence of the Gulf Stream, the gardens showcase an assortment of exotic plant species not commonly found in Scotland. The estate surrounding the gardens serves as a sanctuary for wildlife, providing opportunities to observe Scotland's 'big 5' – red squirrels, otters, red deer, common seal and golden eagles.
A mere half-hour drive away is Gairloch, located 15 miles from Aultbea. Here, a 9-hole golf course is nestled amidst the dunes, while wildlife cruises offer an intimate encounter with native species thriving in their natural habitats. Gairloch also boasts a new museum, and excellent café, craft shop and local information at the GALE centre.

Heating is by air source pump and wood-burning stove (starter pack INCLUDED). WiFi is INCLUDED via a mobile data router (speed can vary from 6 to 18 MB). Sorry, pets are not accepted. No smoking.
