This was our 7th booking with Unique Cottages and our second stay at Gardener's Cottage in Dorlin. We can't recommend the cottage enough. It ticks all the boxes. The location is spectacular with a view of Castle Tioram from the dining room. The cottage is immaculate and charming and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a wood burner which warms the whole house, a fully equipped kitchen, and the beds are very comfortable. There are lovely walks straight from the cottage's front door or you can get in your car and drive further afield to Ardtoe, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, the RSPB nature preserve at Glenborrodale. Ardnamurchan Distillery and the Natural History Centre are also nearby. The shop and tearooms in Acharacle are five minutes away by car.
We had deer in the front garden, spotted a pod of dolphins in Loch Sunart, and saw eagles nesting in the cliffs near the cottage. We love Gardener's Cottage and will absolutely book again. It's one of our favourite places and we can't wait to return. Unique Cottages make the process so easy and they are brilliant at communicating all the information you need to have a wonderful holiday in Scotland.
Welcome greeting was great. Very friendly. Welcome pack including fruit, shortbread and bubbly in the fridge. Lots of logs and coal to last all week. Brought us home made scones, jam and cream on a rainy day. Very thoughtful and considerate.
