Step inside Rudh Dubh, and you'll be greeted by a warm and cosy atmosphere, complete with a wood-burning stove. The cottage is comfortably furnished and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing getaway.
The open-plan living area features a sofa bed with a pocket-sprung mattress, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The compact yet functional kitchen area includes modest cooking facilities, a fridge, and hot and cold running water.
The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet, and an electric radiator for added comfort. The wood-burning stove not only adds to the cottage's charm but also keeps it toasty warm, even on the chilliest of nights.

Rudh Dubh is ideal for the sure-footed and adventurous, with access from the parking area involving a 300-metre walk that includes crossing a river by stepping stones or a small bridge and a short scramble along a coastal path. Wellington boots are recommended for the journey.
As the bothy is too remote for regular servicing, guests are asked to leave it as they would like to find it, ensuring a pristine and welcoming environment for future visitors.

Answer: Due to the remoteness of Rudh Dubh, regular servicing is not possible. We ask that you leave the property as you would like to find it. Cleaning supplies are provided together with a cleaning checklist to make this easier for you.

Answer: No, Rudh Dubh is for the sure footed and adventurous. It is essential you arrive in daylight. You have a three hundred metre walk which includes crossing a river by stepping stones or small bridge and a short scramble along a coastal path. Wellington boots are recommended!

Answer: A fire will be set for your arrival and there is enough wood included for 2 more fires. Guests are asked to replace wood and kindling (purchasable at Kilchoan Ferry stores and encouraged to keep the local shop viable). This works well for Rudh Dubh.

Answer: The property has modest cooking facilities, a fridge, hot and cold running water, a toilet and shower. There are mains power points. The sofa bed is luxurious with a pocket sprung mattress.
