21-Apr-2025	The Boathouse DA8 (overall)	I won't talk about the obvious things such as outstanding location that you can see from the photos, so here are some things they surprisingly aren't bragging about which you will find at the property - a welcome bottle of red, a really well equipped kitchen (including supplies of paper towels, new dish towels, scourer & dish cloth, washing up liquid, tin foil and cling film, salt & pepper grinders, tea, coffee & sugar supplies, royal doulton crockery and crystal wine glasses, cooking utensils galore even a lobster cracker), locally made liquid soaps and hand lotions in the bathrooms, and John Lewis Egyptian cotton bed sheets. No quibbles about using up the oil heating - the heating is on permanently and you can adjust the individual radiators as you require. The manager has made an obvious effort to provide high quality for a comfortable stay. The boathouse is much bigger than you expect (although the shower downstairs is on the small side to fit in the space and my 6'2" husband found it awkward to manoeuvre in it). Definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, as there are steps up to the deck to access the house and a sloped gravel path from the parking down to the house - it has a handrail but could still be a challenge for some people. I highly recommend this property and would definitely book it again if I was re-visiting the area.

Communication was good though
