Entry is at street level with handy storage in the entrance hall for coats, boots and bikes and stairs that lead up to the living accommodation that is spread across the top two floors to ensure that it is light and bright throughout.
On the first floor there are three attractive bedrooms including a spacious, en suite master double bedroom with a luxurious king-size bed to stretch out on and a modern, en suite shower room. There is also a twin room and a double bedroom that are both set up for maximum flexibility with zip-link beds that can be super-king size or twin as required. These rooms share a bathroom with a bath and shower over and there is a utility room on this level with laundry and drying facilities.
At the top of the house, off the colourful landing, is the inviting living area that is L-shaped and open plan in layout with the sitting/dining room/kitchen all in together. Cosy seating is set up in front of the TV for nights in enjoying a film and the elegant dining table is just by the kitchen area with its handy breakfast bar seating. A further twin bedroom with coombed ceilings can be found across the landing.
Free, on street parking is available just outside the apartment or there is an additional parking area just a minutes’ walk away. As the apartment is so central it is an easy walk to all of the local amenities.
There are two small supermarkets just along the road and plenty of other shops, pubs and eateries within Callander to try. A 5 minute drive out of the town are the Bracklinn Falls, a series of beautiful waterfalls that are best viewed from the bridge that spans the water.
The scenic 18 hole golf course in the town welcomes visitors to enjoy a round or two and permits for trout and salmon fishing can be arranged in some of the local lochs.
It is less than half an hour’s drive to Stirling, a historic city dominated by imposing Stirling Castle that sits in an elevated position overlooking the city. Guided tours are available or audio tours for those preferring to explore themselves. A particular highlight is the Stirling Heads Gallery where 16th century carved wooden medallions depicting kings, queens and other noblemen are displayed.
Another well-known feature of Stirling’s skyline is the National Wallace Monument that towers 220 feet above the Abbey Craig hilltop on which it stands. A spiral staircase inside allows visitors to climb the 246 stone steps up to the viewing gallery from which amazing views of the city can be admired.
The wonderful Loch Lomond is a popular place for watersports with kayaking, paddleboarding and water skiing amongst just some of the activities offered by Loch Lomond Leisure from Luss pier (37 miles). Skiing and snowboarding are available in season at the Glencoe Mountain Resort (53 miles) just over an hour’s drive away or there is an artificial ski slope at Firpark Ski Centre outside Stirling.
