All the comfort, space and style one could wish for in a holiday home can be found here along with tasteful furnishings and a soothing colour palette throughout. On arrival the roomy hallway with its grand staircase provides a fitting welcome and leads through to a spacious sitting room that is really bright due to French doors opening out to the patio. An open fire keeps it all cosy and the formal dining room has French doors right by the table as well so the garden can be admired.
At the heart of the sunny kitchen is a lovely electric Aga that is a delight to cook on and a large, central island with seating to breakfast at. Off the kitchen is a utility room where the fridge, freezer and washing machine are kept so everything is neatly out of the way. There is also a handy shower room with WC on this level and a separate little TV room.
In the chic master double bedroom upstairs is a super king-size bed, plenty of storage space and a bright and airy en suite bathroom with the benefit of both a bath and a walk-in shower. There are two further double bedrooms (one en suite) with king-size beds and a twin bedroom which makes use of the family bathroom.
An open garden wraps around the house and to the front is a large gravelled parking area with easily enough room for two or three cars. Wonderful 360 degree views up to Little Glenshee and out towards Blairgowrie can be enjoyed from the garden.
As the A9 is only 4 miles away so it provides great access for further exploration of your surroundings. Heading south the city of Perth itself is only 20 minutes’ drive away where all the desired shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants can be found.
There are several historical attractions to see from the fascinating exhibits in Blackwatch Castle and Museum to the remarkably well preserved Huntingtower Castle and Scone Palace where Robert the Bruce was crowned back in 1306.
Heading north is the village of Dunkeld (11 miles) on the banks of The River Tay that is interesting to wander around. The pretty cathedral on the northern bank of the river dates back to the early 1500s and is still in use to this day and just outside the village there are delightful woodland walks to be had at The Hermitage.
For winter sports or mountain biking in the summer, The Glenshee Resort (34 miles) at the start of the Cairngorms National Park is the place to try. If watersports are you preference Splash White Water Rafting at Aberfeldy (27.5 miles) offer not only white water rafting but also canyoning, river bugging and paintball.
Those on the whisky trail will want to visit the Glenturret Distillery (21 miles) near the market town of Crieff. Various tours and tastings are available and there is even a fudge fusion experience that matches the whiskies up to delicious local fudges.
