This charming house is perfectly suited for larger groups of guests to enjoy holidaying together in comfort whilst still having their own space. With a sitting room with wood-burning stove and a separate family/TV room there is a choice of places to relax and unwind.

The spacious dining room is a great place to gather together for evening meals and with the loch visible from its bay window you can admire the vista while you eat. Behind the dining room lies the kitchen that has a huge Aga at its heart and the handy option of a gas hob and electric oven. A central island provides useful additional space for cooking or baking and there is also a large utility room with plenty of storage for coats and boots and a WC and larder off it. There is also a handy downstairs en suite twin bedroom.

Off the long corridor upstairs lie the rest of the bedrooms that are each pleasantly presented and have the advantage of having their own en suite bath/shower room. The master double bedroom is particularly light and airy with a king-size bed, high ceilings and the very best of the loch views.

With ample parking at the side of the house and a large enclosed garden to the front with manicured lawns and mature plants and trees, the house enjoys a really wonderful, peaceful setting. A bench has been perfectly positioned on the lawn for admiring the beautiful view out over Loch Linnhe towards the mountains or keeping an eye out for wildlife such as red squirrels, otters, roe deer and an array of birdlife.

The beautiful gardens can make a lovely setting for a small wedding with an area where a marquee could be erected and additional accommodation available for extra guests nearby.

Map & Local

Heading north, from Corran (1.5 miles) a ferry provides access to Ardgour and the delights of the picturesque Ardnamurchan peninsula.

Fort William (10 miles), known as the ‘gateway to Ben Nevis’, is the place to stock up on supplies or explore the interesting local shops.

For a special day out the Jacobite steam train trip to Mallaig is quite an experience! There are also winter sports to try at the Nevis Resort Skiing (16 miles) and, of course, the almighty Ben Nevis itself to tackle.

It is worth crossing the bridge over to South Ballachulish (3.5 miles) that is home to the Scottish Segway Centre offering fun activities for all ages with Segway tours, golf, archery and laser clay pigeon shooting, as well as fast boat trips with gorgeous scenery and lots of wildlife to take in along the way including seals, otters and even eagles.

Snow sports enthusiasts will want to visit the Glencoe Mountain Resort (19 miles) for some skiing, snowboarding or sledging and, in the months when snow is in short supply, downhill mountain biking and tubing. With several munroes and corbetts to ‘bag’ in the area, walkers and climbers are certainly very well catered for.
