They were not particularly helpful as I only wanted a short midweek stay and to pay with a voucher I received as a xmas present last year. I was not allowed to book during the main holiday season and only allowed to use my voucher after the end of October. Very little trouble was taken to find me a place to stay. I obviously had to pay up front the £100 house keeping supplement which is paid back if you do not cause any damage. My letter said it would be paid back 7days after the end of my stay but when it had not arrived after 7days I phoned the office and had a very short and casual reply that it took at least 10 days to get my money back. If this is the norm then the contract letter needs changing as it is incorrect.
Lovely house in beautiful area.perfectly suited to our needs as a group of old friends who meet up annually, Plenty of space to chat, relax, play "pub quiz" and generally have a lovely time. Nice that all rooms have en-suite facilities and that there were twin as well as double rooms. One or 2 minor issues. it would be helpful to know in advance that we had to bring kindling for the fires(there was none) No firelighters either. One of the fires had not been cleaned out and there were a few minor cleaning issues when we arrived. The hoover is not very efficient. There were several items (5-10) of chipped crockery on arrival. These gripes disappeared almost into insignificance as the weekend progressed but as someone who runs a holiday cottage myself I am aware that you need to be informed about these things if you do not live on site. Another of our number runs a B&B so she was quick to point out these issues. All in all though a really lovely place to go
