The layout and space inside was well appointed including all the equipment you'd need for a stay. All of the bedding and towels were spotlessly clean :) However, the condition of some aspects and cleanliness of some of the areas was poor. The gutter outside the main living area french doors was overgrown and blocked so that when it rains there is a constant stream of water cascading down onto the lower sill making a noise (This will of course ultimately cause damp in that part of the lower wall and floor area inside). Three or four of the double glazed panes in the aforementioned french doors are blown (double glazed seal compromised) and milky obscuring views from the living and dining area. Heavy dust and thick cobwebs (more than just 'over' the weekend) behind and underneath the occasional table in the corner left of the fireplace. Same condition behind the TV cabinet (around all the plugs). No sealant where tiles meet the kitchen worktop behind the sink; water ingress inevitable. One of the main lights in the kitchen did not work. A large and unsightly mass of black mould on the corner of the skirting board at the bottom of the door frame in the downstairs bathroom. Heavily soiled hinges on the inside of the dishwasher (we noticed this upon arrival) and on the carcass separating the dishwasher from the fridge.
