Overview

Stroll down a stone walkway to the entrance of Yew Cottage, which exhibits spacious rooms with elegant high ceilings and a warming wood-burning stove. The cottage also offers the private outdoor space of an enclosed garden for early morning coffees or midafternoon resets.

Entering the cottage, the underfloor heating keeps your toes toasty and invites you into a warm utility room with a handy washing machine and tumble dryer. You’re then greeted into a cosy living room with comfy seating and a smart TV, well-equipped for staying entertained in the evening.

The hallway has high ceilings and a skylight window, augmenting the light and spaciousness, which then leads you to an equally spacious kitchen. As well as ample seating, an electric oven and plenty of kitchen equipment, the space highlights a map located on the wall and is a great added accessory for planning adventures around the local area. The kitchen, like many other rooms, offers well-placed windows looking out towards the walled gardens and wandering red squirrels, roe deer and buzzards.

Further down the hallway is a bathroom with a bath and shower over. Adjacent to here, a cosy double bedroom, decorated with artwork from famous Scottish painter Jack Vettriano, adding a peaceful ambiance and creating the perfect area to get some well-deserved rest.

Opposite the hallway, through the lounge on the east side, is an enclosed garden equipped with a woodshed and outdoor seating, perfect for a moment of fresh air or watching the dog play. Outside, as well as a private garden, guests are provided with a parking space along the short stone entrance path and are encouraged to use the nearby tennis courts.

Remote and quiet, Yew Cottage is your charming residence to return to after a peaceful adventure in the walled garden, a scenic walk along Lunan Bay, or a day spent in Angus with a loved one and a canine companion.
