Callander
The pretty town of Callander, situated on the River Teith, is often described as the 'gateway to the Highlands' as it lies immediately south of the Highland Boundary Fault, the historical meeting point between the Highlands and the Lowlands.
The town is an excellent base for exploring the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. However, there are plenty of attractions in the town itself, including a heritage trail, museum and leisure centre, as well as a wide selection of shops and restaurants. There is certainly plenty to do at Callander!
